1.Description of Service

RecordChase is a property research platform that provides access to publicly recorded documents, property records, and derived analytics for Wake County, North Carolina. Data is sourced from the Wake County Register of Deeds and public tax assessment records.

2.Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as needed.

3.Free Tier and Search Limits

Unregistered users may perform a limited number of searches. Registered free accounts receive a limited number of searches. Search limits are enforced per account and per device. Attempts to circumvent search limits (including creating multiple accounts, manipulating device identifiers, or automated access) are prohibited.

4.Subscriptions and Billing

• ●Plans: Paid subscriptions are available at the prices listed on our pricing page. Plans may be billed monthly or annually.
• ●Payment: Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• ●Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• ●Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
• ●Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
• ●Promotional codes: Promotional codes are subject to their specific terms, may have expiration dates or usage limits, and cannot be combined or applied retroactively.

5.Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• ●Use automated tools, scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the services or extract data in bulk
• ●Redistribute, resell, or republish data obtained from RecordChase without our written consent
• ●Circumvent search limits, rate limits, or access controls
• ●Use the services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• ●Interfere with or disrupt the services or servers
• ●Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
• ●Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6.Data Accuracy and Disclaimers

Property data on RecordChase is derived from public records and is provided on an “as is” basis. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that the data is complete, current, or error-free. You should independently verify any information before relying on it for investment, legal, or financial decisions.

7.Intellectual Property

The RecordChase website, application, design, and proprietary analytics are owned by RecordChase and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The underlying public records data is not our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform or proprietary features.

8.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RecordChase and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9.Disclaimer of Warranties

The services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10.Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and intellectual property) will survive.

11.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.

12.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
